I produce linocut, woodcut and card relief prints that reinterpret everyday scenes – cyclists, architecture and woodland – through expressive, overlapping forms and transparent colour. My designs are developed using collage and experimental drawing, with an emphasis on atmosphere and movement. I balance the planning of colour and composition with a responsive, exploratory approach to inking and printing. I have been making original prints for nearly fifteen years from my studio on the Somerset Levels, working with a 100-year-old cast-iron Albion press. My work has been exhibited at the International Original Print Exhibition and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
