Lisa Takahashi first picked up her lino cutting gouges just over ten years ago, in an attempt to make images as exuberant as a Matisse cut-out. Not only did the process offer the bold, graphic qualities she was seeking, but it also became a bit of an addiction! Lisa continues to search for the perfect composition, drawing from direct observation and designing prints that simplify sources of inspiration into a sequence of overlapping shapes. Lisa has previously exhibited at the RA Summer Exhibition and was a previous semi finalist on Sky Arts Landscape Artist Of The Year.
