Rachel is a full time artist working from her studio in Bentham, North Yorkshire. With a drive for ambitious exploration in method and material throughout her art practice Rachel has developed a unique style and form. Combining printmaking, painting and wood carving methods to create unique natural artworks. Rachel uses a mixture of Lino and drypoint etching techniques fashioned for printing onto wood, and most recently layered fabrics including silk. A love of trees and wild swimming are her most common subject matters. Translating peace and healing that can be found in nature is a motivating factor in her work.
