Jenny McCabe
Jenny McCabe is a printmaker based in Lancaster where she works and teaches at Ironpress printmaking studio. Jenny works with metal plate etchings and cuts out shapes from the plates by hand, layering up multiple elements to create one larger print. Her work always starts with drawing and an excitement in the technical challenge of turning a simple piece of metal into a piece of art. She builds up tones with drawn marks and aquatints. Wildlife and nature feature heavily in Jenny’s work, using messy gestural lines to capture the energy and movement of the subjects.
