My printmaking grew out of pigment diffusing in puddles of water, displaying similar qualities to small sub-aquatic life forms and Celestial Drama in our multiverse. I am fascinated by Cosmic phenomena: the birth of Stars and Galaxies, and the intrigue of Black Holes and Dark Matter. I use Aquatint resin, shellac and solvents, with stage biting on Zinc plate, to describe spatial depth and to replicate events in the Universe, and probabilities existing only as theories or imaginary scenarios. This Aquatint / Solvent / Acid process makes its own contribution, often unanticipated behaviour yields rewarding surprises.
