Stuart Brocklehurst
I am a printmaker from the Calder Valley in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Working in and inspired by the tradition of British Landscape printmaking, Linocut and Mezzotint form the mainstay of my work. Each being equally important to my artistic practice but allowing different interpretations of a subject. My linocuts are an exploration of colour and pattern. With mezzotint, I can work in a more personal way to capture the mood and atmosphere of the subject. In 2017 I was one of only 6 artists from the UK to exhibit at the IV International Mezzotint Festival at the Museum of Fine Arts in Yekaterinberg, Russia.
