Sarah studied environmental illustration at Sunderland University which started a love affair with Lino. Once graduated, with the help of the Prince’s Trust start up fund, she began printmaking full time.

Influenced by wildlife, be it fluffy, furry or feathered, Sarah has continued to explore a variety of themes from hares to her current passion, quirky dog breeds.
The process begins with lots of drawings to create the design which is then carved from Lino. Using linseed oil inks the blocks are printed on Traditional papers and fine Japanese tissues.

Sarah now works from her home ‘The Pink House’ in Cumbria alongside her artist husband David, two children, Rosie and Woody and new inspiration, Bonzo, the long hair dachshund.
