Jill Barneby

Specializing in Fine Art Printmaking Jill works using old fashioned etching and screenprint often with elements of collage. Printing plates are prepared, drawn, inked and printed by the artist.  Jill creates pieces which connect memory, history and emotion.  Often using images of actual objects she creates a narrative by quite literally connecting threads and memories. Inspired by Neil MacGregor’s programme on Radio 4 ‘100 Objects from the British Museum’ Jill began to consider those objects of importance in her own life. Viewers often like to engage with her vision and in turn relate their version of the story.
