Ian Cox
I am an artist/printmaker with a background in illustration. My current focus as a printmaker is linoprint (working with both reduction and multi-block). I also produce intensely-detailed pencil and charcoal drawings, and I am planning to begin an exploration into mezzotint. The images I create are broad-based, ranging from locally-inspired land and seascapes (of Dartmoor and the Cornish coastline), while I also enjoy working with themes drawn from local folk tales. I work from my studio on Torquay high street, where I am able to engage with members of the public and other local artists.
