When I went to Sunderland Art College at the age of 16, I fell in love with printmaking. I then went to Camberwell School of Art and specialised in Etching and Lithography. While I brought up my 3 children, I became a weaver for 18 years at Wetheriggs Pottery where I employed five other weavers. I have managed to return to full-time employment as an artist, selling and exhibiting widely. The work continues to be spontaneous and often joyful. I combine different techniques to make unique, experimental work such as hooky rugs with paintings on top, etchings printed within a woodcut. I am currently working on a series of landscapes using drypoint and monoprinting.
