Woodcut prints combine textures and patterns derived from studies from Nature with saturated colour, and repeating motifs to suggest a mixture of things observed, imagined, and remembered. I sometimes integrate silkscreen techniques to include photographic images, and to allow an element of chance into the making process. These layered images suggest a dreamlike juxtaposition of different times, places and states of mind.

Prints are produced in a small series or family of work, resulting in each one in a series being slightly different from any of the others.
