Sally Adkins
Sally Adkins is an artist printmaker based within walking distance of the River Derwent, on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire. A multi-disciplinary printmaker, she works predominantly in the age-old tradition of acid-based etching, harnessing established techniques to develop finely etched, expressive metal plates. She also specialises in monotypes and contemporary interventions in print. Her practice is focussed on the movement of river water as it journeys; through extensive walks and exploration, she draws in response to place and then expresses this dialogue with the river and landscape of the Peaks in print.
