I like to walk the landscape of Snowdonia where I live and draw directly from nature, both the ancient countryside and the native plant life, particularly in the uplands and amongst the hedgerows and meadows. From these walks I collect, arrange and sketch groups of plants that become the starting point for colourful reduction Linocuts.  These document the passing seasons, the varied landscape, and the native wildflowers that grow in my Welsh garden.  I print botanical studies, that celebrate the beauty and colour of the often over-looked hedgerow weeds and wildflowers that have been our companions for centuries.
