New Light

New Light is a charity which celebrates and promotes Northern art, supporting both well-known and emerging artists. The New Light Prize Exhibition is one of the region’s largest open exhibitions, which tours renowned galleries across the North and London. It includes the £10,000 Valeria Sykes Award. Our ‘Art for All’ education programme and New Light Collection reaches out to everybody with a series of activities, workshops and talks, including ‘immersive art weeks’ at schools across the region. The common thread through all we do is a deep belief that art matters and the North of England deserves to be shouted about.
