Lisa Takahashi is a British-Japanese artist based in Taunton, Somerset. Her linocuts celebrate the overlooked beauty of the everyday. Composed of bold and colourful shapes, layers of texture and translucent colour evoke joy and movement in the work. Recently, Lisa has incorporated other textures in her work, including wallpaper and packaging. Exhibitions include the RA Summer Exhibition, Fabriano Biennale and ‘Kaleidoscopic’ at Watts Gallery Artist Village. Alongside her practice Lisa regularly teaches linocut and writes about painting and printmaking techniques for the Jackson’s Art Blog. Lisa is a previous semi-finalist in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of The Year.
