I am a painter/printmaker in love with colour. I have written 2 books on practical abstract art and have won a number of prizes for my work. I also teach painting and printing. I am a semi-abstract screen printer which I love as I can create many transparent layers of colour which then create other colours. Opaque marks create another space on the picture plane so I am constantly playing ‘push/pull’ with the image I am making . It is a way of working organically, always responding to the last mark, shape or colour used. My art journey is always exciting and sometimes surprising!
