Alexandra Buckle

Alexandra captures her favourite scenery as reduction linocuts. This relief printing technique involves cutting and printing several layers of colour from the same block of lino in order to build up an image. Her work is impressionistic in style; it is colourful, full of light, depth and detail. Themes for Alexandra’s work include woodlands and trees, water and reflections, flowers and fields, and more recently a trip to Japan. Alexandra lives and works in Bicester where she also teaches private lino cutting workshops. Alexandra’s linocuts have been displayed at the Royal Academy, Bankside Gallery and Mall Galleries in London.
