Jess Davies
Jess Davies is based in rural Devon, UK. She makes prints as a response to landscape, using simple compositions to evoke the essence of a place, and is known for her use of strong and earthy colour palettes. Jess is a member of The Devon Guild of Craftsmen/MAKE SouthWest. Jess originally trained in Theatre Design at Nottingham Trent University. She subsequently moved into drama, working as a teacher, actor, role-player, and workshop leader. After living in Brighton for many years, she moved to Devon in 2008, and decided to return to her long-neglected art practice, which led her into printmaking.
