Freeeeeedom (I’m Scottish) is my obsession – this shows up in my work as an interest in flocks of birds – how the individual affects the group, and vice versa, and the beauty that results – from the starlings getting ready to roost in Brighton to the flash of wings as a flight of raggedy city pigeons turns. I’m a widely exhibited oil painter who took up etching in 2020 – fabulous timing for concentrating on flight and freedom. Since then, I have exhibited prints in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow, including in the Society of Wildlife Artist’s Annual show, and in Stirling Print Festival.
