I have specialised in linocut and screen-print for the past sixteen years. My work is based around several areas; abstraction, surreal donkey compositions, landscapes and wildlife. For the last two years I have been focussing a lot on my series of surreal compositions that feature donkeys. The images are my way of exploring the idea of freedom and at the same time putting the spotlight on a most-underrated creature. My recent abstract pieces are based on drawings of stones that I have observed on beaches round the UK. I take inspiration from their colour and textures. My wildlife and landscape prints are just taking in my surroundings wherever I am (generally coastal towns and/or Yorkshire), and being moved to create a print from a view or creatures there.
