As an artist I have a profound emotional connection with nature, I immerse myself within it as much as possible. I love to explore the wonderful countryside of Cumbria with my dog to gain inspiration for my work, I love big skies, ancient woodland, high fells and the changes experienced through the seasons. I particularly love birds and they are almost always found in my work. I am constantly exploring my process as an artist I find that interactions with a location and exploration of the surrounding environments and inhabitants will spark off an idea that starts a chain reaction.
