David Peduzzi
My prints start with observations from walking on the hills or by the coast. I am interested in capturing the moment and a sense of motion—the turn of a bird in flight, or an oar pulling into water.
I like the small format of wood engraving with its potential to create intriguing little worlds, and its character of silvery lines and dense black printing.
Recently I have also been working at a larger scale, using water-based inks on plywood panels, and drypoint on plastic. They’re all forms of drawing to me, with each medium having its own character.
