Adkins works predominantly within the heritage of acid-based etching, harnessing traditional techniques to develop finely etched metal plates, printing deeply atmospheric, original contemporary prints. A degree in Print and Typography preceded extensive training in traditional etching within specialist studios. Originally rooted in Dartmoor, she works from her studio in Derbyshire, close to the River Derwent, has exhibited widely in the UK and was Printmakers’ Printmaker at Printfest 2024.
