Having graduated in Fine Art from Hull College of Art many years ago, I now work mainly in collagraph and collage. I am inspired by rocky landscapes, I love the feel and smell of rocks, the science behind how they were created, and the way water shapes and colours them over millennia. Collagraph techniques can lead to wonderful textures and deep tones, which continually excite me. I begin by experimenting with prints which aim to reflect the colours, textures and atmosphere of a place. I then create collages with them, adding watercolour and sometimes printed tissue.
