Martin Mitchell

Mitchell’s work is rooted in the traditional process of intaglio & relief printmaking.

“For me art is combining the aesthetics of the image and the dexterity of the craft skills of the artist. This I feel is best exemplified in the techniques of printmaking and especially Mezzotint.”

Mitchell has won major international arts prizes and his work is held in public and private collections though out Great Britain and abroad. In 2015 as part of the 3rd international Mezzotint Festival Mitchell was invited to hold his first international solo exhibition, in Ekaterinburg Russia.
