As a child I never had time for house rules when it came to my pets, how could the nicest member of the family have so many restrictions to live by?! Absolutely absurd. While I may have mellowed slightly with age, I’ve never lost the belief that animals really are the best of us and we are missing a trick if we don’t stop acting like we are the superior species. I’m not saying a tiger is the best housemate you could have, but should a tiger happen to come live with you they should feel just as relaxed in your home as you do. I hope this collection highlights the fact that animals are a privilege and we owe it to them to take better care of them, all of them.
