Fouzia Zafar

Fouzia’s work explores the concept of play to develop the use of unusual materials, tools and processes to create images. Photography and collage are often intermediate stages in the practice where play allows images to be deconstructed and then reinvented using the etching process. Shape, pattern and texture are celebrated in her prints, helping explore histories and memories of familiar places and objects to create a nostalgic atmosphere. Fouzia’s practice thrives on pushing the craft of making but also embracing what it offers by chance. Fouzia is a fully elected member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers
