Jay Seabrook
I am a printmaker working in Rutland and producing collagraphs with watercolour detail. My work features the local countryside and wildlife. I love the unpredictability of the collagraph process and the soft colours and textures that result. I have recently been working on a series of “Arctic” prints to highlight the dangers that global warming presents to our planet. They are also inspired by my god-son who lives and works in the frozen north of Svalbard.
I love extreme places, the weather, the ocean and birdlife – it’s all reflected in my printmaking.
